Question:
the persons giving good and valuable answers will be given commission
Answer:
Write to the Indian Embassy and they will send you a whole load of sheets of stuff. You may have to pay a small fee. Look up the embassy on the web. You can phone them for advise.
I did all this for exactly the same reason as I wanted to import stuff.
JUST A WORD OF ADVICE, IF YOU ARE IMPORTING AND TRADING WITH INDIA THE RULES ARE HARSH {their end}. AND ANYTHING YOU BRING IN TO THE COUNTRY WILL BE INSPECTED BY CUSTOMS AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY IMPORT TAXES AND VAT…..Just saying all this to be complete. Make sure you get your pricing right before you say yes to contracts as I came out making a loss because I did not do enough research on the extra expenses incurred with taxes etc and collecting from the airport. Dont be put off, just get your figures right!
Another thing ….any conversation you have, make sure you get it written down and use lots of photos of the stuff you are dealing with. Their english is a nightmare to understand when its written down though. QUITE FRANKLY you must be very careful.
The only way really, is to make a trip out there as they use a lot of commune type workshops where everyone contributes to the common cause…..A form of communism but it works.
