I would be representing a contituency of a npo
strong views -service arts org. I own have the position formerly, am not sure i should repeat. Need to determine my own personal goal and see if they mesh near this. Not sure if it is worth my while professionally or one-sidedly. Looking to reestablish /establish myself , generally, though probably not within this enclosed space.
What are sensible criteria to consider since accepting this.?

Did you hold the position as Board Member beforehand at this institution or another? If you enjoy already stepped down from the board, and are considering rejoining, I would guess you should re-examine the reason you moved out surrounded by the first place.

Financial consideration: Board member are frequently asked to contribute financially to the bureau thru pledges and fundraisers, and expected to gridiron the procedure to friends and business associates. How much does the foundation expect board member to contribute?

Time consideration: Board member sit on committee and subcommittee meeting. What are the frequency of such meeting?

Motive: Unfortunately, boards are commonly chock-a-block next to individuals looking more to enhance their own postion than credit the mission of the running. This is not surrounded by the best interest of the individual or the cleaning. Does your interest in the position emulate your personal interest in advance the goal of the institution or yourself?
