My boss have be asking me almost this. I told him Sales Rep is an outdated title, which he favors more. Nobody uses it anymore. He’s asking me for proof. I lately want to endorse my claim.


Sales representative is not outdated. It is still widely used. And the difference is unfinished and simple:

Sales representative: is a creature employed to represent a business and to get rid of its merchandise or services, as to customers contained by a store or customers who are visit. The primary function of professional sale is to generate and to close lead, lecture prospects, imbue desires and ease desires of consumers appropriately, and consequently turn potential customers into actual paying customers.

A sale executive have a role more geared towards the authority part of the pack of sale and have the function of carrying out of plans or advice. Basically, the sale executive is usually the instantaneous supervisor of the sale representative.

Sorry… your boss win…


Rep is the regular worker who answers to a supervisor or supervisor and the executive is the entity who answers directly to the CEO as the come first of the entire sale division.

I presume they’re pretty much interchangeable. Actually, the most ‘current’ occupancy would be ‘Account Executive"

a sale executive is the one who head the sale representatives.
