Question:
i am located in the phoenix/chandler area….

Answer:
Go to your bank. I went to England last year and my bank was happy to get some pounds for me ahead of time, but they also asked if I wanted Euros. Most banks will provide this service (you'll have to pay the exchange rate plus a service charge.) Just be sure to give them a little bit of advance notice.

It was a great decision. I didn't have to waste time at the airport after arriving to exchange money - and there are lot of exchange places in any European nation.
